DDC Doda Discusses R-Day 2020 Arrangements

DODA, January 04:

District Development Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode today convened a meeting of district officers of various departments to discuss the arrangements for the celebration of Republic day function 2020 at District Head Quarter Doda.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Mumtaz Ahmed, ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, GM DIC, ACR, SDM’s, Tehsildar’s, DIO, DSWO, BDO’s besides Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD, District Heads of Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Youth Services and Sports, Education, Transport, Municipality, College and Higher Secondary School, and other senior officers from Civil Administration, Police, and CRPF attended the meeting.

Detailed discussions were held on  various issues regarding seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS and fire-tenders, preparation of tableaus,and refreshment to students participating in the National function were also discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC asked all officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event.

DDC stressed upon the officers of various departments to participate in the function with great zeal and enthusiasm and work in close coordination with full dedication to make the National function a grand success. He called upon the officers and employees of all departments to remain present at the venue, on the day of function.

It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be organized in the Sports Stadium Doda and directed the SDM’s and Tehsildar’s to organise the same program in their respective jurisdictions at the identified public locations. The function would start here at Doda with the Shehnai Vadan programme at 7.30 AM in the morning by the Information department.

It was further decided in the meeting that contingents from Police, NCC,CRPF,FPF,different schools,college etc would participate in the march past.

The DDC directed the ACR, Xens PHE, PDD and JkPCC to ensure seating, barricading and drinking water arrangements, besides uninterrupted power supply at the function site.

The Executive Officer Doda , Municipality was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue. Regarding First aid arrangements, the Chief Medical Officer was directed to ensure the deployment of one ambulance along with a team of Doctors and necessary medicine till the end of function and also during the rehearsals.

It was also informed during the meeting that rehearsal shall start from 18th of January and full dress rehearsal shall be conducted on 24th of January, besides screening of cultural items shall be conducted on 16th by the designated committee.

DDC also constituted different committees like Rehearsal committee, Reception Committee, Contingent selection committee, screening of cultural items committee, seating arrangement committee,awards and citation committee etc for the successful celebration of the national function.

Moreover DDC also stressed on the display of tableaus by various departments during the main function and directed the designated departments to ensure that this time the tableau prepared shall be creative, attractive and content driven.
