An incident took place in sector 9 Chandigarh on Tuesday evening. Two armed assailants walked into the liquor shop in the inner market of Sector 9 and began firing. Two people got hit by the fire as said by the Police sources.
Thee two assailants fired at those who are working at the store as the bystanders ran forward for cover and some ran into the nearby shop for protection. The attackers then drove away in the Honda City which has been parked in the parking of the inner market of Sector 9 Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Traffic Police informed the police control room and gave the information. Two people who were wounded in the incident have been taken to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, although they are stable now.
The Police has been now going through the CCTV footage to identify the attackers.
The owner of the Liquor Wine shop is Sh Ram Avtar Batra age 69 is the resident of 3190 Sec 21 D, Chandigarh. He has been running this shop since April 2018. He also owns a petrol pump in Sector 35 by the name VPL.
He has also revealed that he has a money transaction dispute with someone. Although an FIR has been registered and further investigation is being carried out.
