Haryana Education Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal has called upon school students to mutually exchange their textbooks.

Haryana Education Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal has called upon school students to mutually exchange their textbooks while at the same time assuring that books in all government schools of the state will be delivered after the lockdown period.

However, he stressed the need to follow the instructions issued by the Health Department for the prevention of coronavirus while exchanging books. Besides this, he also called upon the teachers, Principals and School Management Committees to support and play an important role in the work of the exchange of books so that the education of the students is not disturbed.

In a statement issued here today, the Education Minister said that online education is provided by the School Education Department is an important step to avoid loss in education during the lockdown and said that today the whole world is fighting the coronavirus epidemic.

Lockdown has been implemented all over the country from the point of view of safety, due to which all the schools of the state are closed. Education Minister said that following the ‘Right to Education Act’ in the state, free textbooks are made available to children studying in government schools from first to eighth grade.

The Education Minister said that the examination results have been declared by the schools on April 10, but due to the lockdown, it is not possible to send books to the students. He said that all the parents know that till a few years ago, students used to exchange books after the examination results and this tradition is also helpful for the environment.

After passing, if a student takes the old books of his seniors, then not only will he get the books to read in the lockdown but he will also be able to participate in the conservation of the environment.

He urged the students to wash their hands with soap immediately after taking or giving books so as to prevent the spread of corona. The Education Minister said that in present circumstances this system of exchange of books is only internal arrangement so that children’s education is not interrupted.

New textbooks will be delivered to students as soon as the lockdown is removed.
