A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa and Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar to expedite the process of digitalization.

  • Chandigarh, March 9– A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa and Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar to expedite the process of digitalization. Registrar of the CDLU, Sirsa, Dr. Rakesh Wadhwa and Registrar of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Dr. Avnesh Verma signed MoU in the presence of both the Vice Chancellors. All the Deans of different faculties and Chairpersons were present on the occasion.
  • Professor Sh. Ajmer Singh Malik, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa termed it to be the inception of new era of digitalization and exchange of electronic resources and softwares to ensure the self reliance of the Universities.
  • He said that at present the Sirsa district does not have the facility of a computer based examination centre and therefore, students of the district have to travel to appear in the competitive exams conducted by various testing agencies. Sh. Malik apprised that the new building has a capacity of 300 examinees and is being constructed to conduct computer based examinations.
  • The software provided by the GJUS&T, Hisar will help the students with regard to online applications and admission process. It will also be of great help for Ph.D. Scholars and IT professionals. The IT professionals of both the Universities will work hand in hand for updation of softwares in order to make them more qualitative and user friendly. Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar Professor Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated for the initiative taken by CDLU, Sirsa and termed it as first step of the state university collaboration in the field of digitalization. Dr. Saroj Mehta, System Manager, CDLU, Sirsa welcomed the guest on this occasion.
