Antyodaya Fairs will be organised in districts to empower poor families and financially strengthen them
Chandigarh, November 26– With a view to fulfill the vision of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to strengthen every poor family financially and socially, Antyodaya Fairs will be organised in each district under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. This will also ensure that the income of each family is up to Rs. 1.80 lakh. Through these fairs, work will be done to enhance the income of poor families by connecting them with various schemes being run by the Government. These Antyodaya Fairs will start from November 29 and it will be ensured that all the beneficiaries come under its purview and get the benefits of various schemes being run by the Government.
Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Sh. Vineet Garg gave the necessary directions to all the Deputy Commissioners regarding organising the Fairs through video conference here today. He said that all the officers and employees should work in these Fairs with a positive approach. He said that the Chief Minister will be constantly reviewing the Fairs to be organised under the Chief Minister Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. He said that the SOPs prepared regarding these Fairs have been sent to all the districts and they have to make arrangements as per the SOPs in such a way that maximum beneficiaries turn up at these Fairs and take the benefit of public interest schemes. The District Deputy Commissioner should himself monitor these Fairs to ensure its success.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar said that it is the vision of Chief Minister that no family remains poor in the State and their standard of living can be improved. At these Fairs, leading banks and other banks should participate and sensitise the beneficiaries with regard to the benefits that can be availed from the government schemes and expedite the sanctioning of loan and hand over the loan sanction letters. At these Fairs, young beneficiaries should also be identified, who can be groomed for self-employment or employment in any field by training through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. He directed all the Deputy Commissioners to ensure the success of the Fairs, training of the concerned officers regarding the organization of these Fairs must be done, so that appropriate guidance can be given to the beneficiaries. In the first phase of the Fairs, approval should be taken by the bank after receiving applications from the beneficiaries and in the second phase, the benefit of the scheme should be given to the beneficiary by providing this permission letter. Feedback will also be taken from the beneficiaries after the Fair is organized.
Mission Director of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, Sh. Mandeep Singh Brar said that these Fairs would be organized in such a manner that the aim is achieved. Covid-19 protocol must be followed at these Fairs.
He said that a reception desk, counselling desk, waiting desk and desks related to various departments should be set up at the Fair. Trained staff should be appointed at these stalls, who have detailed information about each Scheme. The stalls should not be overcrowded and every beneficiary should be given a fair opportunity. Officers of the concerned Departments will also be available for help at the Fair. He informed that messages are being sent through phone to all the beneficiaries about the timings of the Fair. Adequate number of stalls should be set up at these Fairs and the Departments should promote their respective schemes through Display Boards, so that the beneficiaries can get complete information about the schemes.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Arun Gupta, Director of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Sh. Rajnarayan Kaushik and other senior officers were present.
