Chairman of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti said that the state government is constantly making efforts to revive the extinct Sarasvati river.
- Chandigarh February 16: Chairman of Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti said that the state government is constantly making efforts to revive the extinct Sarasvati river. Culture was developed and Vedas were composed on the banks of this holy river. Not only this, moral values and rituals were also spread to the entire world from the bank of this river.
- He was addressing the audience during the closing ceremony of Sandhyakaleen Sarasvati Maha Arti held in Pehowa on the occasion of the International Sarasvati Festival on Tuesday. Before this, Sh Bharat Bhushan Bharti performed a Maha Arati amidst the chanting of mantras and blowing of conches. Congratulating all the people including the residents of Pihowa for organizing this festival, he said that the prestige of this festival has not only been enhanced in the nation but also in the foriegn countries.He said that people from abroad are also joining the festival. The mind gets immense peace by visiting this Shrine in Pehowa.
- He said that the State Government is making efforts to spread the importance of Saraswati pilgrimage among the people. To celebrate Saraswati Festival is the most successful effort in this direction. Efforts are being made by Haryana Sarasvati Heritage Development Board to develop pilgrimage sites and villages situated on the Saraswati Channel from Adibadri to Kaithal. During the Sarasvati festival itself, programs were organized in about 100 villages located on this channel on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami in collaboration with the panchayats.
