Chandigarh, November 23- In the series of programmes of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, ‘Sajda’ (musical performance) programme was organized by Information Public Relations and Languages Department of Haryana at Tagore Theater here today.

Haryana Governor Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal had a dignified presence on this occasion.He inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.  On this occasion Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Power Minister Sh. Ranjit Singh, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Agriculture Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal, Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, Woman and Child Development, Minister, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, Social and  Empowerment Minister, Sh. Om Prakash Yadav, Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak besides many MLAs were present.

Among the administrative officers of Haryana and Chandigarh UT, Chief Principal Secretary, Sh. D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, besides many senior officers were present.

While greeting the guests, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department informed about the patriotic programmes being organised by the state government on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Famous musician, writer and singer Padmajit Sehrawat started the musical evening with the praise of Shri Ganesh ji.

Adding to his words, when the Chief Secretary of Haryana, who is a master of singing and poetry, Sh. Vijay Vardhan said, “Namaz aati hai mujhe na vaju aata hai, tu samne aata hai to tera sajda kar leta hoon,” Sher dazzled the audience present in the theatre.

In the ‘Sajda’ programme, one after another wonderful performance of Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Vijay Vardhan left the audience stunned.  Amidst the chimes of the musical instruments, the audience kept diving for about two hours in the melody.  Shero-shayari, presented in a melodious voice by Shri Vijay Vardhan, cast such a magic that everyone was lost in it.

The poetry of Sh. Vijay Vardhan and songs of Shri Padmajit Sehrawat garnered a lot of applause.

In view of this occasion, Mr. Vijay Vardhan, the famous poet Faiz’s Sher – “Bol ke lab azaad hai tere…” infused a new spirit of patriotism among the audience. He described about the British rule on Indians through various Sher-o-shayari.

Along with this, the melodious songs of Padmajit added the charm.The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm when he performed his famous song “Teri Mitti Mein Mil Jawan…” from the Hindi film Kesari.

The famous musician of Bollywood Kamal Dutt and other musicians spread such magic of music that all audience felt dazzled.
