  • Chandigarh, March 11 – Giving another opportunity to upload bills under the SMAM Scheme 2020-21, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has extended the last date to upload the bills on the Departmental portal with regard to subsidy on various agricultural equipments given to the farmers of the state.
  • Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the government has accepted the online applications of all farmers on the Departmental portal till February 18, 2021. All such eligible farmers were given another opportunity to upload their coloured photo, e-way bills, self-declaration along with GPS location machines till February 27, 2021 on the Departmental portal. However, giving another opportunity to the farmers who were unable to upload bills on time the date of uploading the bill has been extended till March 15, 2021.
  • He said that the Department will issue a schedule with immediate effect at the district level with regard to the work of verifying the bills and agricultural equipments of such farmers who will upload the bills by the due date will so that they are provided with the benefit of agricultural equipments in the present fiscal year itself.
  • He said that on the orders of the government, district level committees have been constituted under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioners after registering on Meri Fasal, Mera Byora portal to ensure sale of farmers’ crop and to solve their problems.
  • Besides this, farmers are registering themselves to sell Rabi crops on the Meri Fasal, Mera Byora portal. In this, farmers have to upload details of their bank account, authentic land details, market of their choice, duration of sale of crop, etc. Following this, if the farmers face any problem in selling their crops or have any other type of complaint, then they can bring them in the notice of the District Level Committee.
