- Chandigarh, February 18: Giving relief to mining suppliers during the ongoing development works in Delhi, the Haryana Government has decided to allow such suppliers, who have valid work orders, to bring mineral in Haryana. They will no longer be forced to dump their mined material in Delhi due to fear of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
- Giving information regarding this, Haryana Mines and Geology Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma said that the minerals extracted during development works in the National Capital Region of Delhi will now be legitimately brought to the processing units located in Haryana. He said that the State Government has drafted a policy and launched an e-portal for this as well. To bring the mined material to Haryana, a company authorized by any Department or Agency of the Central, State, or Delhi Government will have to register on the e-portal, he added.
- He said that this would allow the mined materials extracted during development works in Delhi to be legally transported to Haryana. Such mined materials and minerals can be brought into Haryana only with the permission of the government there. He said that only a contractor who has a valid work order will be able to get the e-Ravana from there.
