  • Chandigarh, March 3: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed to prepare a digital record of 42212 square kilometers of land across the state.
  • The Chief Minister was holding a meeting of the officers of the Revenue Department. Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala was also present on the occasion.
  • The Chief Minister directed the officers to prepare a record of the land in such a way that along with the information about the ownership of the land, it should also be clear about who is in possession of the said land. If the owner is not in possession of the land, then legal methods should be adopted for the release of the said possession, he added. He said that even an inch of land in the state should not be left out from being digitalized.
  • Registry can be done in any Tehsil
  • Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Haryana Government is working on a scheme, on implementation of which the registry can be made in any tehsil of the state while sitting in any corner of the country. He directed to implement this process of registration of land in the state at the earliest.
  • While discussing this issue with the officers of the Revenue Department, the Chief Minister said that the objective is to curb corruption in the registration of land.
  • During the meeting, it was decided that a portal should be developed, on which those who wish to sell or buy land can select the tehsil of their choice for registry which will make the process easier.
  • Land Exchange
  • The Chief Minister has also directed to work on a plan to start an Option Portal to create a land exchange, just like the stock exchange in the future. He said that many times some needy person wants to sell their land but is unable to find a buyer on time. In such a situation, such a portal should be created where the seller and buyer of the land can upload their information, he added. He said that this will benefit both the buyer and the seller. If the seller uploads their land-related information on this portal, then they will easily find a buyer, he added.
  • During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed to make the mutation process easier and bring it online. He said that the mutation of the land for which the registry is already online should be done by the automatic process in due time. Any objection to such registration should also be sought online and the process of mutation should be completed in the stipulated time, he added.
  • He said that our aim is to provide a corruption-free system. The online registration process will prove effective in curbing corruption in the system, he added.
  • The Chief Minister also directed to ensure adequate basic facilities in the tehsils. Specifically, all IT-related facilities should be made available in the registration offices according to the digital age and there will be no shortage of funds for this.
  • On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh.
