Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Baisakhi.

Chandigarh, April 14 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Baisakhi.
Paying tributes to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 131st birth anniversary today, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that following the path shown by Dr B.R Ambedkar, the State Government has launched several welfare schemes for various sections of the society, especially the Scheduled Castes and the Backward Classes. The Government has been making continuous efforts regarding lifting the economically weaker sections of the society so as to realize the vision of Antyodaya in the state.
The Chief Minister urged the people of state that we all should come forward and follow the message of social harmony given by Babasaheb. He further said that the government has decided to celebrate the anniversaries of great leaders like Maharishi Valmiki, Sant Ravidas, Sant Kabir and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, so that people, especially our younger generation will get to know about teachings and various aspects related to their lives. This initiative will always encourage and inspire our young generations to follow the ideals and principles of these great leaders, he added.
While extending greetings on the occasion of Baisakhi, the Chief Minister said that the festival of Baisakhi, which is celebrated across India with different names and rituals conveys the message of happiness and prosperity across the country. He wished that this festival may bring endless joy, happy moments and progress in the lives of people.
The Chief Minister said that the cultural heritage of the state is incredible and it is defined with such festivals.  He said that such festivals being celebrated for centuries are symbols of our rich cultural heritage.  Such festivals should be celebrated with enthusiasm and happiness, forgetting any discrimination.
