Chief Minister started Tablet distribution program to 5 lakh students from Rohtak
Chandigarh, May 5 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that for 5 lakh Tablets given to the students, arrangements should be made for charging in schools by the School Management Committee (SMC). For this, the committees should arrange solar power system and other necessary equipment. The Chief Minister was interacting directly with the students, parents and teachers during the Tablet distribution ceremony in Rohtak.
The Chief Minister while talking to Sh. Roji, a member of SMC Fatehabad said that the SMC should make necessary arrangements for Tablet charging in the schools. Sh. Manohar Lal also interacted virtually with Shivani, a student of Panchkula. Shivani congratulated the Chief Minister on his birthday and said that with this Tablet she would be able to study online and offline and take board exams and get admission in a good college. The Chief Minister also asked Shivani whether she needed any training to operate the tablet. So Shivani agreed to the training, to which the Chief Minister said that along with giving Tablets to her teachers, training will also be given to them so that they can give further training to the students along with teaching them.
Sumanlata, PGT, Karnal said that, the Chief Minister has made a very good effort by giving tablets to the students. Through this, the dream of children to become tech savy will come true and they will become global students. The Chief Minister said that 33,000 teachers are also being given tablets. The guardian of a student from Yamunanagar, Sh. Mohammad Samim also appreciated this step of the Haryana Government. The Chief Minister told them that along with Tablets, 2 GB internet data has also been given to the students free of cost.
Satish, the guardian of a student living in Rohtak, who was present in the programme, appreciated the Tablet distribution scheme with a song.
Engineering and Law Studies in Hindi as well
Talking to reporters after the programme, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the New Education Policy, Engineering and Law will be taught in Hindi from next year. Students can choose the course as per their wish. To improve the standard of education, 500 new Model Sanskriti Schools are being opened. Apart from this, 4,000 play-ways are being set-up in schools. A crèche is being arranged for the working women.
Replying to another question, the Chief Minister said that the ownership of Shamlat land in rural areas has been given to the Panchayats. If the Gram Panchayat wants to get the school or other public works done on that land, then it will have to be owned in favor of the government. There will be no dearth of budget for this.
Responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that the Pahrawar village land given on lease to Gaur Educational Institute could not be transferred in the name of the Sansthan. Meanwhile, Pahrawar village came under the purview of the Municipal Corporation. He said that the Institute should apply again to take this land on lease from the Municipal Corporation.
