Chandigarh, February 17- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the meeting of the High Power Purchase Committee, approval was given to purchase goods worth Rs.1,000 crore. 23 agendas were placed in the meeting, out of which 18 agendas were approved. During this, Education Minister, Sh. Kanwarpal, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, Agriculture Minister, Sh. JP Dalal, Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Devender Babli, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak and Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. Sandeep Singh were present.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the meeting of the High Power Purchase Committee, a decision was taken regarding the printing of children’s books from Class I to VIII. Apart from this, the process of installing jammers in jails, purchase of chairs, tables and cupboards in play-way schools, purchase of transformers and cables for the electricity department was completed. To further strengthen the security apparatus of the Police Department, it was decided to purchase 220 new vehicles. Along with this, the procurement process related to water flow meters on tubewells located in villages under Atal Bhujal Yojana was also completed. With this it will be easy to know how much water is being supplied to the villages.

Satisfied with the decision of the Supreme Court on the law of 75 percent job reservation in the private sector

While speaking about the matter of the Supreme Court lifting the stay of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on the law to give 75 percent reservation to the youth of Haryana in the private sector, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of satisfaction for the government. The Supreme Court has set aside the decision of the High Court and has given directions to pronounce the verdict while hearing the case regularly. At the same time, the government has also been given exemption that they can complete the necessary process of registration etc. related to this law.

The central government is keeping an eye on the matter of Ukraine

Responding to a question, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is keeping a close watch on the crisis arising between Ukraine and Russia. All possible assistance will be given to the Indians living there. They will not be allowed to face any kind of trouble.

CMI figures a farce

The Chief Minister has described the unemployment figures presented by a private organization CMI as a farce. He said that the CMI had shown 36 per cent unemployment in Haryana during the month of December, whereas in January this figure was shown to have come down to 26 per cent. That is, they claim that the government has given employment to 25 lakh people in a month. There is no scale for the figures of this institution, fake figures are being presented. He said that in Haryana, actual data is being collected through Parivar Pehchan Patra. The state government is giving continuous employment through HSSC, HPSC, Kaushal Rojgar Nigam.

After the budget, CM will tour all over the state

Responding to a question, Sh. Manohar Lal said that his tour across the state had stopped due to Covid. Now the preparation of the budget is going on. After the completion of the budget session, he will resume his touring in the state.

TVSN Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Sh. Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary, Housing for All Department, Sh. Anil Malik, Principal Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, Smt. G. Anupama, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Sh. Vijendra Kumar and other senior officers were present.
