Calls upon all officers to register themselves on www.intrahry.gov.in/ portal

Chandigarh, January 27:  Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Gram Sanrakshak Programme has been started in the state, under which class I level officers are adopting a village each. As a village protector, this officer should get the problems of the people resolved at the village and ward level and should deliver the information related to the development of the villages to the district administration and the government, so that the benefits of schemes and programmes of public interest reach the last person in line.
The Chief Minister was speaking on the eve of Republic Day in an interactive programme with Gram Sanrakshaks over the phone. He said that all the class I level officers have to select a village each and become its guardian. Working beyond the call of duty is what really defines an officer, therefore along with professional duties, each one of you should also be always ready for making pivotal contributions for serving the society as well. Independence and Republic Day are our national festivals, so on the Republic Day, apart from our duty, we should also think about the development of the country and society. The purpose of dialogue with Gram Sanrakshaks is that all should work for the betterment while becoming accountable to the society. For this they should register themselves on www.intrahry.gov.in/ portal and select their villages as soon as possible. This work is to be done at times other than the time of duty.

The goal is to ensure that benefits of the schemes reach the last person in the line

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is working with the spirit of Antyodaya. In the last seven years, the government has started many schemes and programmes in public interest including education, employment, skill development, promotion of cottage industries, one district, one product, pension schemes, Meri Fasal-Mera Byora, SVAMITVA Yojana, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, Parivar Pehchan Patra, Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana etc. and the benefits of which are being ensured to every needy person.
Even today there are many such persons who are unable to take advantage of the schemes in their interest. If the officers being Gram Sanrakshak will contact the villagers, local leaders, officers and employees working at the village level, then surely many problems will be resolved, said the Chief Minister.

Responsibility of officers towards society

The Chief Minister said that the society has given a lot to all of us. As an officer, it is everyone’s responsibility to understand their duty towards the society and work for its betterment.
ADC will be the nodal officer at the district level
The Chief Minister said that at the district level, the nodal officer of the Gram Sanrakshak programme would be the Additional Deputy Commissioner. Apart from this, an Administrative Secretary level officer will also be made nodal officer in all 22 districts. These officers will review all the activities from time to time and will resolve any problems that may arise. The suggestions sent by the Gram Sanrakshak will be sent to the concerned departments for necessary action.
Corruption will be eradicated
Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Gram Sanrakshak programme would bring transparency in the implementation of the ongoing development works and schemes at the village level and the possibilities of corruption would be curbed and thereby it will also  play a key role in ensuring quick benefits of various welfare scheme to the general public, added the Chief Minister.
All villages and wards will be covered
The Chief Minister said that there are 6,700 villages and about 2,000 wards in Haryana. If all the class-I level officers become the Sanrakshak of each village and ward, then every village and ward can be covered according to the number of officers.
