Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the State is geared up to tackle the expected third wave of COVID-19 along with ensuring adequate medical and other facilities to combat the second wave of this Pandemic.

- Chandigarh, May 16 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the State is geared up to tackle the expected third wave of COVID-19 along with ensuring adequate medical and other facilities to combat the second wave of this Pandemic.
- The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the media person after inaugurating the Temporary Field Hospital set up for COVID patients at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector-38 in Gurugram on Sunday. Union Minister, Sh. Rao Inderjit Singh was also present on this occasion.
- The Chief Minister also inaugurated a 100 bedded Temporary Field Hospital at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram which has been set up in collaboration with Vedanta Group, Give India and ‘Doctors for You NGO’. Besides this, a 300 bedded COVID Care Center which has been set up in collaboration with M3M, CII, Indian Air force in Sector-67, Gurugram was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister. He said that according to experts, the third wave of Pandemic is likely to hit.
- While, referring to the English proverb ‘Hope for best and be prepared for worst’, Sh. Manohar Lal said that at this given point of time we have to think about the good but at the same time we also have to be prepared for worst situations.
- He said that this Pandemic is an attack on humanity, therefore all the political parties, opposition, media, general public have to join hands to make their valuable contributions.
- We all have to keep our spirits high and be positive, further, everyone should also share their suggestions as to what can be done to tackle this Pandemic, all the suggestions would be incorporated while making strategies, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
- On Monday also, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the COVID Care Center in the Government College, Sector-14, Gurugram which is being set up in collaboration with the Hero Group and ‘Doctors for You’ NGO.

- The Chief Minister said that many social organizations, institutions and NGOs are coming forward to increase and strengthen the required health infrastructure for the treatment of COVID patients. All these organizations are working with utmost dedication.
- “I thank Sh. Anil Agarwal and Vedanta for this commendable initiative to help people during this difficult time. While the government is doing everything possible to help the people, the support of corporates like Vedanta is strengthening our efforts to provide the best medical facilities for the people affected by the Pandemic,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
- “I urge all citizens to take utmost care and follow all necessary COVID-19 protocols to keep themselves and their loved ones safe,” he added.
- Sh. Atul Satija, CEO and founder of Give India, has also made his contribution in the COVID Care facility. Dr. Rajat Jain, President of NGO ‘Doctors for You’, said that his organization is committed to saving the lives of people in this Pandemic.
- Union Minister, Sh. Rao Inderjit Singh, who was present at the programme, also thanked the organizations that have helped in this hour of crisis.
