Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that transport facilities should be provided by the Education Department in the Government Schools of villages that are located at faraway distances.

Transport wing would be set up in government schools: Chief Minister

Small vehicles should be deployed for less number of children and bigger vehicles for more number of children

Chandigarh, February 25: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that transport facilities should be provided by the Education Department in the Government Schools of villages that are located at faraway distances. For this, a school transport wing should also be established and the teacher should be made the nodal officer of this transport wing.

The Chief Minister gave these directions while presiding over the meeting of the School Education Department on Friday.  Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal also remained present in this meeting.

The Chief Minister said that arrangement of small vehicles should be made in the schools having fewer number of children. Apart from this, in the schools having larger number of children, bigger vehicles should be deployed.

“There would be no shortage of teachers in any district. For this, discussions are being held,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister also directed the officers to prepare a strategy in advance regarding the admissions under 134-A for the upcoming session.

He said that no eligible student would be denied admission under 134-A in the new academic session.  Apart from this, the State Government is also going to increase the number of model Sanskriti schools.  Such students can also be admitted in these schools offering state-of-the-art facilities, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

During this meeting, the Chief Minister also gave directions to the officers regarding online transfer policy of teachers, deputing teaching volunteers in Mewat.

Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Sh. Mahavir Singh, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Director General, Secondary Education, Sh. J Ganesan, Director, Primary Education, Sh. Anshaj Singh and other senior officers were present in this meeting.
