Chandigarh, April 21- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today said that during summers the demand for electricity increases unexpectedly, hence it is apparent that there is a shortage of power supply, although, the State Government is trying its level best to overcome this power shortage.

The Chief Minister shared that talks have been held with the companies providing electricity and a meeting in this regard would soon be held with the power companies and he is hopeful that the problem of power shortage would soon be resolved.

The Chief Minister said this during a media interaction after presiding over the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting held at Gurugram today.

Responding to the law and order questions, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the law and order situation in Gurugram is good and the Police is ensuring resolving the incidents in a very short span of time, he added.

The Chief Minister said that whenever the State Government holds talks with the investors, they happily say that as compared to other states, the Law and Order situation in Haryana is better. Today, due to better law and order in Haryana, the number of investors is increasing continuously in Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Mahendragarh and Jhajjar districts, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

While responding to a question regarding action being taken by Vigilance Bureau against corruption, the Chief Minister said that the State Vigilance Bureau has been strengthened with the formation of the Divisional Vigilance Bureau (DVB) in all the six divisions of the state. Along with increasing the force in these Bureaus, their tasks have also been divided. These Bureaus will investigate complaints about the loss of the government exchequer, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that consistent attacks are being made on corruption and the State Government does not wish to make much noise about its anti-corruption drives. While underlining the fact that in Haryana corruption will not be tolerated at any cost, the Chief Minister also gave the slogan ‘Bhrashtachar ka Kaal, Manohar Lal’.

Responding to the questions of Opposition regarding the inauguration of the new BJP office ‘Guru Kamal’ in Gurugram, Sh. Manohar Lal said the Opposition can only level allegations by talking beyond facts.

We have given land to all the political parties to build their offices. Congress is running its office in Gurugram at Kaman Sarai instead of municipal parking. If they want, they can apply for land to build their office, we are ready to give them the same land at the same rate at which the land for the BJP office has been allotted, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Through media, the Chief Minister also urged the people to follow the COVID-19 protocol of wearing masks, especially in public places and offices. He said that in view of the increasing infection cases in the Delhi-NCR region, the wearing of masks has been made mandatory for the general public in four districts of the state including Gurugram.

The Chief Minister also informed that a programme is being organized in Gurugram on April 29 to make the Resident Welfare Associations aware of their rights and duties and he would also attend the same.

In this programme, a detailed discussion would be held on the RERA Act and other legal provisions, the role and duties of RWAs, simplification of the process of redressal of problems faced by them, etc. Experts from different disciplines will participate in the programme.
