- Chandigarh, February 27- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, while again reiterating, State Government’s commitment to uplift the poorest of poor in the spirit of Antyodaya announced four public welfare schemes during a state level programme organized on the occasion of 664th Birth Anniversary of great Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji held at his residence here today.
- Power and Jails Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh and BJP leader, Smt Banto Kataria were also present on this occasion. District level programmes were also organized simultaneously in 22 district and the dignitaries present in these programmes also participated in the programme held at Chandigarh through video conferencing.
- Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the teachings of great personalities like Guru Ravidas are still relevant today and while taking inspiration from their life and teachings, the State Government is dedicatedly working to ensure welfare of every needy person.
- Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana
- Sh. Manohar Lal said that soon a unique scheme called Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana would be implemented in the State, under which selection of as many as One lakh poor families who are residing in Haryana and are having lowest family income would be done through Parivar Pehchan Patra Portal. Work of making Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPPs) cards has been accelerated and till now out of 65 lakh families PPP cards of 54 lakh families have been made and those pending will soon be completed so that the benefits of various welfare schemes being run by the Government reach grassroot levels, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
- “Every possible effort will be made to increase the family income of such families’ to atleast Rs 8000 to Rs 9000 per month. For this, the State Government will emphasize on the skill development of members of such families, providing employment opportunities to the unemployed members and also providing financial assistance. Besides this, employment avenues will also be explored to generate employment,” asserted the Chief Minister.
- Financial assistance under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna increased to 80,000
- The Chief Minister announced that the financial assistance of Rs, 50,000 being given under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna for the repair of the house to Scheduled Castes families living below poverty line has now been increased to Rs. 80,000.
- All category BPL families to get benefits of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna
- Sh. Manohar Lal also announced that BPL families belonging to any category will be able to avail the benefits of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna, While, till now this scheme was limited to BPL families belonging to Scheduled Castes. He said that from April 1, 2021, the annual income slab of BPL families would be increased from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh
- Legal Aid given to Scheduled Castes increased to 21,000
- The Chief Mistier also announced that the legal aid given to the members
- belonging to the Scheduled Castes, who became victim of atrocities under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, has been increased from Rs.11, 000 to Rs. 21,000.
- Sant Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasaar Yojana
- Sh. Manohar Lal said that in a bid to spread the message of social harmony, brotherhood, and removing the evils of casteism being given by these great saints, an amount of Rs. 11 crore has been allocated under the Sant Mahapurush Vichar Samman and Prasaar Yojana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of minimum of Rs. 50,000 and maximum of Rs One lakh will be provided to the social and religious organizations for organizing programmes on the birth anniversaries of these great men at the Block and Gram levels.

Vineet Garg, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Managing Director, Haryana Scheduled Castes, Finance and Development Corporation, Ms. Amneet P. Kumar and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
