Chief Minister Chairs meeting of High Powered Land Purchase Committee

Approves agenda regarding Construction of Bypass from Cheeka City, Kaithal to Patiala road after purchase of landholdings of about 60.66 acres costing Rs 28.51 crore

Landowners who have consented to give their lands for proposed government project in the district also attended the meeting

Chandigarh, January 6 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while chairing the meeting of the High Powered Land Purchase Committee (HPLPC) here today accorded approval to make negotiation amounting to Rs.28.51 crore with the landowners for the landholdings to be purchased through e-Bhoomi for construction of Bypass from Cheeka City, Kaithal to Patiala road in Kaithal District.

The Chief Minister, while chairing the HPLPC meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of Kaithal and Fatehabad held through video-conferencing said that after the purchase of these landholdings the work of the proposed projects to be set up on the lands voluntarily given by landowners in the Kaithal district should be expedited at the earliest.

Landowners who have consented to give their lands for proposed government projects also attended the meeting.

Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Minister of State for Revenue and Disaster Management also remained present in the meeting.

While interacting with the landowners of the villages including Cheeka, Badsui, Harigarh, Kingan, Kalar Majra, Peedal, Titina who have voluntarily given their land for the construction of the said bypass, the Chief Minister said that along with the residents of Cheeka village, the neighbouring villages would also be greatly benefited with the construction of this bypass.

“The construction of this bypass would certainly open the doors for various other opportunities like employment, business along with overall development of the district”, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Meanwhile, discussing another agenda regarding the construction of bus stand at Tohana, district Fatehabad, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Pradeep Godara to make negotiations with the landowners at the earliest.

Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D. S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Director, Consolidation of Land Holdings and Land Records, Ms. Amna Tasneem, Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal, Sh. Pradeep Dahiya, Deputy Commissioner, Fatehaad, Sh. Pradeep Godara, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
