Chief Secretary gave instructions to explore the possibility of establishing blood transfusion facility and blood bank in the Hospital

Chandigarh, February 16- Haryana Chief Secretary, Sanjeev Kaushal today visited Pet Animal Medical Centre, Sector-3, Panchkula and took stock of the health facilities.  He directed the concerned officers to explore the possibilities of establishing blood transfusion facilities and blood bank in this Centre in view of the increasing diseases in animals.

Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said that this centre is the only one in the government sector, so it should be made a centre of excellence.  He took stock of the facilities present in the Hospital and directed the officials concerned to ensure all facilities which are necessary for the Pet Animal Medical Centre are available at the earliest. Besides this, instructions were also given to implement the pending administrative works at the earliest. Also, to enhance the health facilities, machines and equipments with latest technologies. Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal inspected the Pet Animal Medical Centre and inquired about its functioning in detail.

Due to the high number of OPDs in Pet Animal Medical Centre, he directed to put two specialist veterinarians on duty with immediate effect. Apart from this, instructions were also given to make arrangements for facilities like ultrasound, solar plant, lift etc. at the earliest.

On this occasion, Commissioner and Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Director General of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Dr. Birendra Singh Laura, Dr. Anil Banwala, In-charge, Pet Animal Medical Centre and Dr. M.R.  Singla, Member Executive Council Pet Animal Health Society were also present.
