All the programmes organised under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav will be celebrated with national spirit and with peoples’ participation- Haryana Chief Secretary
Chandigarh, April 11– Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said that all the programmes being organised by the state government under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav are being celebrated with enthusiasm, unity, national spirit and will connect people with each other. In this episode, today the Chief Secretary directed the senior officers of the state and the Deputy Commissioners of all districts to add value or give a new look to any monument, event or story related to independence in their respective departments and the respective districts so that along with the feeling of nationalism among the people, information about the history of independence can also be found.
Sh. Kaushal was presiding over the review meeting of the State Level Committee constituted under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav here today. On this occasion Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal were also present.
During the meeting, Sh. Kaushal said that the state government is going to celebrate the 400th anniversary celebration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji at Panipat on April 24. In this programme, the stories of freedom struggle related to Sikh society should be put on display via exhibition. Along with this, the role of Sikh society in Haryana should also be described through exhibition in this programme. Similarly, apart from the Kuka movement, information about the importance of Badkhalsa should also reach people through various mediums.
He said that the logo of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav would also be printed on the stationery of boards and corporations, while this sign was being printed in the departmental stationery.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. V. Umashankar said that we also have to maintain a record of all the places of freedom struggle along with the known and unknown heroes of the struggle. He said that the contribution of the local people is very important in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In the meeting, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal informed that the Mahotsav will be celebrated till August 15, 2023 and the programmes celebrated should be for the people. He said that under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav we have proposed 6557 programmes of which Haryana has organized 2555 programmes so far which is the highest among all the states.
While directing the concerned Deputy Commissioners, he said that they should formulate plans to organize programmes under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in their respective districts which have a message to give as well. A short script, video of these programmes should also be made so that it can be uploaded on the website of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Apart from this, he informed that the Information and Public Relations Department is preparing the website of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on the lines of the Centre, which will soon be launched by the Chief Minister.
Dr. Amit Agrawal informed that a martyr memorial of the first freedom struggle is being built in Ambala Cantonment on 22 acres of land at a cost of about Rs.300 crore, which will be inaugurated this year. Similarly, a martyr memorial will be constructed on 41 kanal land of Naseebpur village of district Mahendragarh. He shared that large scale programmes will be organised at the places of incident of Mahatma Gandhi’s Palwal railway station and Rohtak tour. He said that 75 suggestions would be sought for the new Haryana and for this competitions would be organized for the youth. He said that in the programmes organized in the university and college, the winner will be rewarded for giving 75 best suggestions.
Similarly, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary, Science and Technology, Sh. Ashok Khemka, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education Department, Smt. G Anupama, Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Vice Chancellor of SUPVA Rohtak University shared information about the programmes being done by them and also gave their suggestions.
On this occasion, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Smt. Ashima Brar, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary, Art and Cultural Affairs Department, Sh. D. Suresh, Director General of Secondary Education Sh. J. Ganesan, Director of Elementary Education, Sh. Anshaj Singh, Director of Sports Department, Sh. Pankaj Nain, Director of Development and Panchayat Department, Sh. Dhirendra Khadgata and other senior officers, including Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners also joined the meeting digitally.
