Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the work of increasing the capacity of cooperative sugar mills is under process.
- Chandigarh, July 27:– Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the work of increasing the capacity of cooperative sugar mills is under process. Capacity of some cooperative sugar mills will be increased by the upcoming crushing season. The work of increasing the capacity of sugar mills is under process so that the farmers won’t face any inconvenience.
- The Cooperation Minister was interacting with the farmers and the Managing Directors of all the cooperative sugar mills of the state through video conferencing here today. Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal was also present in the meeting.
- While directing the Managing Directors of all the cooperative sugar mills across the state, he said that before the upcoming sugarcane crushing season, the work of maintenance and repair of sugar mills should be done in advance so that there will be no problem during the crushing season and the farmers won’t face any inconvenience. He said that Palwal based Cooperative Sugar Mill has been functioning efficiently since 2020 and efforts are being made to increase its capacity. He directed the officers concerned to increase the capacity of Palwal based sugar mill within the stipulated time period. Apart from this, if it comes to shifting the sugarcane crop of farmers to other cooperative sugar mills, then a plan will also be prepared, he added.
- The Cooperation Minister said that various suggestions have been received during the meeting and directions have been given to the concerned officers to take appropriate steps accordingly.
