Deputy Chief Minister conducted a surprise inspection of the Pinjore airstrip
Chandigarh, December 19 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala conducted a surprise visit to inspect the ongoing construction works at Pinjore airstrip. During this, Sh. Dushyant Chautala also met trainee pilots in the hostel of Pilot Training School run by Civil Aviation.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala alongwith senior officers of the Civil Aviation Department and District Administration inspected the facilities available at the airstrip and gave necessary directions to the officers to expedite the construction works. He discussed the expansion of the airstrip and regarding providing facilities for landing of large aircrafts.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to conduct a survey of the land adjoining the airstrip so that the plan of expansion of the airstrip could be implemented. He discussed the possibilities of providing night landing facility at this airstrip with the officers. While giving directions to get the area around the airstrip thoroughly cleaned, he said that after getting the area cleaned with machines, arrangements should be made to retain the gardener here.
The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected every department of Pilot Training School run by Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation at the airstrip. He visited the class room, engineering room, waiting room of the training school and inquired about the arrangements from the instructors. Here Deputy Chief Minister personally inspected all the micro aircraft available for training at the airstrip. He asked the officers about the modern facilities available in the aircraft and the steps being taken for their maintenance.
