*Those who call the Employment Act a ‘Jumla’ do not want to see Haryanvi Youth employable, we will expose such people, Dushyant Chautala*
Chandigarh, February 4: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that ever since the present State Government has come into power it has always remained committed to providing employment rights to local youth in private sector jobs in Haryana.
Detailed discussions would be held with the industrial units in different districts so as to clarify their doubts and further remove their confusion regarding the Employment Act, said Sh. Dushyant Chautala while interacting with the media during his visit to Jhajjar district today.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that he would hold discussions with Handloom Industry, Panipat on February 5, Industry Association, Gurugram on February 13 and Footwear Park Association, Bahadurgarh on February 18 regarding the said Act.
Terming this Act beneficial for industries also, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that 90 percent of the local women have got employment in the workforce of an industry in Sonipat.
To address the doubts and problems of the industrialists, alternative provisions have been given in the Act and it is a completely constitutionally sound Act, added the Deputy Chief Minister.
Responding to a question, he informed that while considering the interests of the youth of Haryana, the State Government has moved Supreme Court challenging Punjab and Haryana Court order of putting an interim stay on the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020. The hearing in the matter in the Supreme Court is fixed on Monday, February 7, 2022, said the Deputy Chief Minister.
Sh. Dushyant Chautala while expressing hope said that he has full faith in the Supreme Court and soon the youth of the state will get their share of employment in the Private Sector.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the opposition has also played a role in banning the Act that aims to provide employment to local youth. The thinking of those who term 75 percent local employment Act as ‘jumla’ clearly shows that they do not wish to see Haryanvi youth employable. I would soon reveal the real intention of the Opposition who are trying to snatch employment opportunities from the hands of Haryanvi youth, added Sh. Dushyant Chautala.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the industries established in Haryana make use of its resources and infrastructure; hence the laws of the state government are applicable to all. He said that the provision of providing employment to local youth is also a part of the agreement to set up industries, which industrialists have been avoiding till now.
While assuring the youth of the state, he said that this Act would be implemented by taking legal relief. In this, first unskilled, then semi-skilled and later skilled workforce will also be included.
Responding to another question asked about the Union Budget, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this Budget is going to take the country forward. Special attention has also been given to Haryana in this budget.
Sectors like Agriculture, Education, Health, MSME, Aviation, etc. have got a boost from this Budget. The runway work at Hisar airport in Haryana will be completed soon so that the landing of even big planes can also be accommodated here. He said that soon the work of making night landing arrangements at the airports of Haryana would be completed.
