Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the work on various developmental schemes initiated by the State Government in the previous budget which were stalled due to COVID-19 pandemic will be expedited in the coming financial year.

  • Chandigarh, March 1: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the work on various developmental schemes initiated by the State Government in the previous budget which were stalled due to COVID-19 pandemic will be expedited in the coming financial year.
  • The Deputy Chief Minister said this while interacting with media persons in New Delhi today.
  • While citing an example of a big project, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the State Government will work on important projects like Global City in Gurugram in the coming financial year. He said that under this project, a well-connected and technically advanced Global City will be developed in an area of 1000 acre having residential, commercial, institutional, and various other facilities for a population of 2.5 to 3 lakh. Similarly, work will be done in the budget to strengthen the state’s infrastructure, he added.
  • While responding to a question regarding COVID-19 vaccine Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the vaccine made in India is being adopted worldwide today. He said that the Central Government has been running a free COVID-19 vaccination campaign across the country. Also, the availability of the vaccine in private hospitals is being ensured for the public at the lowest price, he added. He said that in the last nearly 11 months, all the citizens have fought a strong fight against COVID-19 with solidarity and in the coming days India will emerge victorious in the fight against COVID-19.
  • After Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, was administered the COVID-19 vaccine, Sh. Dushyant Chautala strongly condemned the politics being practiced by the opposition and said that this shows their poor mindset.
  • In response to another question related to agriculture and farmers, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that with the advent of private sector, use of new technology has increased and research has led to the upliftment of agriculture sector and farmers. He said that today private companies are the largest producers of cotton seeds in the world. With the introduction of new varieties of cotton, today, cotton yield of farmers has increased along with which the demand for that particular variety is more than traditional varieties thus increasing their income, he added. He said that there is a huge demand for mustard oil in the overseas market, if mustard oil exports are opened then mustard prices will also rise. He said that for this reason, mustard is sold Rs. 400-500 more than the MSP today. All these steps will help strengthen the farmers financially.
  • Referring to the farmers’ movement, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the Central Government is ready to amend the legitimate demands of farmers’ organizations. He called upon the farmers’ organizations to come forward for discussions again and said that a solution will surely be found through discussions.
