Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala today launched ‘The Haryana GST Kosh’ an e-Repository of updated GST Acts and Rules based on feedback received from taxpayers of Haryana and also for assistance of Departmental officers.
Chandigarh 8 February : Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala today launched ‘The Haryana GST Kosh’ an e-Repository of updated GST Acts and Rules based on feedback received from taxpayers of Haryana and also for assistance of Departmental officers.
After the launch of the portal, Sh. Dushyant Chautala informed that this is an unprecedented initiative taken by the Haryana Government in order to create awareness among taxpayers about the latest HGST/ CGST Act and Rules therein.
Further, he said that the portal will also reduce the hassle of taxpayers in fetching information regarding HGST Acts and Rules from various other sources. Now, all the HGST /CGST Acts and Rules therein will be available on one single platform.
He added that the portal was launched after receiving extensive feedback from taxpayers, tax professionals and Centre and State tax officers wherein it was observed that there was no common platform for updating HGST/CGST Acts and Rules. The said portal gives extensive insight alongwith many other salient features as it is the only portal in the country that provides updated HGST/CGST Acts and Rules, he said. All the Acts and Rules have been updated upto September 30, 2021 and will be updated on quarterly basis by the department.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that it is the only portal that provides mapping of Rules and Forms to various Sections of the Act. In future, the portal will provide circulars, orders and instructions that can be mapped to the relevant sections of the Act. He said that with the aim of solving the problems of taxpayers a common platform has been created for easy accessibility of HGST/CGST Acts and Rules.
He further said that Haryana Excise and Taxation Department is strenuously working towards ensuring transparency, increasing tax compliance and promoting ease of doing business.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala pointed out that this initiative has not been taken previously by any other State Government which shows that Haryana is always at the forefront when it comes to creating policies and initiatives which are unique and public friendly. Earlier also various policies and plans of Haryana have been appreciated by the Centre and other State Governments.
Additional Chief Secretary, Excise and Taxation Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner (GST), Excise and Taxation Department, Sh. Siddharth Jain, Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner (GST), Excise and Taxation Department, Smt. Sonia and Excise & Taxation Officer, Smt. Manisha Aggarwal and other officers were present during the launch.
