Chandigarh, June 5- Haryana Forest and Environment Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal said that this year a target has been set out to plant more than one crore trees in the state, for which 1100 villages have been identified. Tree plantation will be done in 50 villages of every district in the State. He gave this information after planting medicinal and fruit-producing plants in Yamuna nagar today on the occasion of World Environment Day which was organized by the Forest Department while following the norms of social distancing.

He said that all of us should make efforts to plant as many trees as possible. He said that we will have to adopt the pace of nature only then we will be able to overcome the outbreak of epidemic like corona. He said that the Environment Day celebrated this year is even more important than the Environment Day observed in previous years. He said that this year more emphasis would be given to connect people with nature, so that people can avail the benefits of herbs and medicinal plants to increase their immunity.

The havoc of the Corona virus is a warning to humans in a way that if we do not make efforts to keep the environment clean through our activities then nature will find its own way, so along with the Forest and Environment Department, all people should undertake the responsibility to save the environment.
