Chandigarh, March 7– Haryana Government has directed the manufacturers and dealers of agricultural machinery willing to make agricultural equipment available under various agricultural schemes in the state, and to mark the maximum selling price i.e. MRP on all their agricultural implements and machines.
While giving this information here today, a spokesperson of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department said that these directions have been issued in view of the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare regarding mandatory marking of MRP on agricultural implements.
The spokesperson said that in addition to this, agricultural machinery manufacturers and dealers would also be bound to display the MRP of agricultural equipment at their manufacturing sites, dealerships and on the company’s website. He said that the agricultural machinery manufacturers would also ensure that there is no difference between the MRP displayed by them on the website and the price displayed by the dealers at their dealerships.
He said that directions have also been given to the manufacturers of agricultural machinery to make available the MRP of their machines to the Directorate of Agriculture at jdaehry@gmail.com within 10 days so that the details of MRP of the machines can be displayed on the departmental website on time. He said that in case of non-compliance of these guidelines, the concerned agricultural machinery manufacturers and dealers would not be eligible to supply the machines under the departmental schemes.
The spokesperson further said that the manufacturers and dealers of agricultural machinery can contact the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of their respective district for detailed information regarding this.
