- Three Centers in State setup to impart training in six customized courses selected under this initiative
- Chandigarh, June 18: Haryana Government has identified as many as 2871 candidates to peruse ‘Customized Crash Course programme for training them as COVID 19 Frontline workers in three centers namely Kaithal, Rohtak and Yamunanagar.
- Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi today launched ‘Customized Crash Course programme for COVID 19 Frontline workers’ under which one lakh youth will be trained in a period of two to three months. As many as six customized courses have been launched from 111 centres in 26 states, of which three has been set up in Haryana.
- In Haryana, initially three training centers namely Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) Centum Skills in Kaithal, PMKK Orion in Rohtak and Shiv Education Society in Yamunanagar are shortlisted for conducting the training in General Duty Assistant Job role following the full protocol of COVID-19 guidelines.
- In addition to the above, Haryana Skill Development Mission has shared the complete list with details of 2542 candidates already trained and certified in the identified six job roles, to the Deputy Commissioners and Health Department for utilizing their services.
- During the virtual inauguration of 111 skill training centers across 26 states, Prime Minister congratulated the efforts of the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship and State Governments for joining hands in this endeavor of strengthening the healthcare systems to meet the current and future challenges of the Pandemic.
- This training aims to skill and upskill over 1 lakh COVID warriors across the country under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 (CSCM) with a financial outlay of Rs. 276 cr. These centers are set up especially for providing the skill training in 6 identified Job roles (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, General Duty Assistant (GDA), General Duty Assistant – Advanced (Critical Care), Home Health Aide, Medical Equipment Technology Assistant, Phlebotomist) to create skilled health care workers to fill the present and future needs of manpower in Health sector.
- This will be of 21-day training module followed by a period of On the Job training, which can be taken up in Primary Health Care Centers/ Govt Hospitals in Districts/ Other hospitals to have practical experience.
- Additional Chief Secretary, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, Dr. Raja Sekhar Vundru and Mission Director, Haryana Skill Development Mission, Sh. Anant Prakash Pandey also attended the virtual inauguration.
