Haryana Government has started implementing the concept of ‘Ease of Living’ by going one step ahead of the concept of ‘Ease of Doing Business’.
- Chandigarh, July 1: Haryana Government has started implementing the concept of ‘Ease of Living’ by going one step ahead of the concept of ‘Ease of Doing Business’. In this episode, now with a view to make the entire process of vehicle registration ‘faceless’ and to eliminate any scope of human intervention in it, the government has decided to get the registration of fully manufactured new transport vehicles in the state through dealers.
- Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma informed today that now for registration of new vehicles in the state, dealers will have to apply to the concerned registration authority online with all documents. The dealer is also not required to send hard copies of documents or files to the registration authorities. The concerned registering authority will verify the documents or details of the vehicles submitted online on the transport portal.
- Sh. Mool Chand Sharma informed that directions have been given to issue registration certificates of new non-transport and new fully built transport vehicles on the basis of application, documents and details of vehicles submitted online by the dealers falling under their jurisdiction by the Regional Transport Authorities. He said that the dealers would not be pressurized by the RTA to submit the hard copies of documents or files. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be followed for dealer point registration as well as online submission of applications and documents by the dealers.
- The Transport Minister said that in the meeting of Haryana Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on June 15, the Government has taken an important decision to get the registration of fully manufactured new transport vehicles in the state through dealers. Now vehicle owners will be able to get their fully built new transport vehicles registered through the concerned dealer. This will significantly reduce the influx of people to the offices of the registering authorities.
- He informed that more than 48.80 lakh new private vehicles have been registered through dealer point registration in the last 7 years. Buoyed by its success, the system is now being extended to fully built transport vehicles with a view to improving Ease of Doing Business in a faceless and cashless manner.
