Chandigarh, February 9 – Haryana Government is working to set up a paperless, faceless and transparent system under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.
While taking forward this vision of the Chief Minister the Haryana Engineering Works Portal (HEW) https://works.haryana.gov.in/ has been launched. Subsequently, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has directed to start all tender-related activities of Government Departments, Boards or Corporations having Civil Engineering wing on Haryana Engineering Works (HEW) portal from February 10, 2022. These Departments include Irrigation and Water Resources, PWD, Public Health Department, Urban Local Bodies, Development and Panchayats, HSVP, Haryana Police Housing Corporation, HSAMB, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Haryana Housing Board, HSIIDC, GMDA, FMDA, PMDA and HPGCL/HVPNL (especially for civil engineering works). With the introduction of this system, transparency and tracking in tenders will be easy and it will be a big step for the government towards bringing in transparency in the system.
The Chief Minister said that preparation of DNIT, technical and administrative approval of estimates, preparation of bid documents, technical evaluation, work allotment, EMB and payment to civil engineering contractors etc. should be done exclusively on HEW portal. The Chief Minister directed that the concerned Administrative Secretaries should closely monitor its implementation.
The primary work of HEW portal is to facilitate ease of doing business to the contractors willing to work in engineering works of various departments with the State Government. The HEW portal enables the contractors willing to participate in various tenders of the departments to register themselves. Every contractor needs to create a profile on the portal. After which he can participate in the tender process.
