Haryana Government Sanskrit Teachers Association expressed its gratitude to the Education Minister for the amendments made in the service rules related to Sanskrit teachers

Chandigarh, February 10 – Haryana Government Sanskrit Teachers Association today visited the residence of Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal at Yamunanagar and expressed their gratitude to him for the amendments made in the service rules related to Sanskrit teachers recently.
It is noteworthy that in the Cabinet Meeting held on February 8, approval was given to the proposal for amendment of Haryana State Education School Cadre (Group-B) Service Rules-2012, Mewat District School Education (Group-B) Service Rules-2012 and Haryana School Education (Group-C) State Cadre Service Rules, 2012. After these amendments, now the Education Department will consider Shiksha Shastri and Acharya in Sanskrit as the equivalent of BEd and MA.
The Education Minister said that Sanskrit is the mother of all languages, in which the knowledge of our Vedas, Upanishads and other religious texts is written. It will always be the endeavour of the State Government that this knowledge reaches the people. Those who have educational qualifications like Shiksha Shastri and Acharya on Sanskrit language have more grip than other people.
He said that this was the demand of Haryana Government Sanskrit Teachers Association for a long time, which has been accepted by the government. He said that Sanskrit language should be promoted more, for which the government is striving and soon promotion of Sanskrit teachers will also be done.
On this occasion, the officials of Haryana Government Sanskrit Teachers Association said that this demand was stuck for a very long time, and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and Education Minister Sh. Kanwar Pal have done a historic work by taking it seriously.
The teachers’ union said that the earlier governments never took this subject seriously nor did they ever try to take this subject forward. During this, Director, Sanskrit Academy, Dr Dinesh Shastri was also present.
On this occasion, the Haryana Government Sanskrit Teachers Association honoured the Education Minister by tying a turban and presenting a memento.
