Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that the Central and State Government have been exploring better medical practices for the treatment of cancer.
Chandigarh, December 19 – Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that the Central and State Government have been exploring better medical practices for the treatment of cancer. Under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), 90 cancer treatment hospitals with modern medical care have been set up across the country. Besides this, a cancer treatment hospital has also been set up in Jhajjar district of the state.
The Governor was addressing the people as the Chief Guest at the annual conference of Innovation in Oncology of the Indian Society of Oncology at Sarvodaya Hospital, Sector-8, Faridabad on Sunday.
Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that apart from Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in the country, better medical facilities are also being provided to the people under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Haryana Government is also excelling in the field of medicine and education. He informed that the conference was a hybrid category conference. In the conference about 250 cancer specialists across the world were present and about 1000 doctors attended through virtual platform.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Jitendra Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sh. Nitish Aggarwal, SDM, Sh. Paramjit Chahal and other dignitaries were present.
