Haryana Health Department administered 34,304 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries across the state today thus, the consolidated figure regarding vaccine administration is more than 18.68 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses till today.
- Chandigarh, April 4 – Haryana Health Department administered 34,304 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries across the state today thus, the consolidated figure regarding vaccine administration is more than 18.68 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses till today.
- Sharing information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajeev Arora said that the Health Department has administered 34,304 vaccine doses today and the Department is working to ensure that the vaccine is administered to everyone.
- On the COVID-19 Vaccine Roll Out plan, Sh. Arora said that the Department had set up 524 Vaccination Centres across Haryana. He elaborated that these Centres have been strategically placed in highly populated areas across the state and even in the rural areas to ensure maximum penetration of the vaccine so as to curtail the spread of highly contagious COVID-19 virus.
- Most of the beneficiaries were above 60 years of age or between 45 years to 60 years, he added.
- On the administration of vaccines to Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) Sh. Arora said that 1,89,767 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and around 1,14,157 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose. Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs) he said that 1,19,586 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine and 42,455 FLWs have been administered the second dose. The number of first dose of vaccine administered to beneficiaries above 60 years is 10,08,390 doses and second dose has been administered to 6,548 beneficiaries.
- Meanwhile, those within the age group of 45 to 60 years the first dose of the vaccine has been given to 3,85,289 beneficiaries and the second dose has been administered to 1938 doses.
