Haryana Health Department administered 61,320 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries across the state in the last two days thus, the consolidated figure regarding vaccine administration is 12,61,799 COVID-19 vaccine doses till today.
- Chandigarh, March 25 – Haryana Health Department administered 61,320 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries across the state in the last two days thus, the consolidated figure regarding vaccine administration is 12,61,799 COVID-19 vaccine doses till today.
- Sharing information in regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajeev Arora said that the Health Department has administered 13,171 vaccine doses on March 24 and 48,149 doses on March 25 (today) to beneficiaries.
- On the COVID-19 Vaccine Roll Out plan, Sh. Arora said that the Department had set up 804 Vaccination Centres across Haryana of which 615 were being run by government and 189 were private. He elaborated that these Centres have been strategically placed in highly populated areas across the state and even in the rural areas to ensure maximum penetration of the vaccine so as to curtail the spread of highly contagious COVID-19 virus.
- Most of the beneficiaries were above 60 years of age or between 45 years to 60 years with co-morbidities, he added.
- On the administration of vaccines to Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) Sh. Arora said that 1,82,048 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine which cover around 83 per cent of the HCWs and around 1,09,859 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose which covers around 60 per cent of the HCWs. Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs) he said that 1,01,389 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine that is 75 per cent of FLWs and 35,083 FLWs have been administered the second dose which makes it 34 per cent. On the vaccine administered to beneficiaries above 60 years, within the age group of 45 to 60 years (with co-morbidities) and general citizens the first dose of the vaccine has been given to 8,33,420 beneficiaries.
