- Chandigarh, April 5 – Stepping up COVID-19 vaccination roll out, Haryana Health Department has administered 1.44 lakh vaccine doses to beneficiaries on the first “Mega Vaccination Day” of the week today enhancing the consolidated figures of the total number of vaccine doses administered till today to around 20 lakh (20,12,332) beneficiaries.
- Sharing information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajeev Arora said that Monday and Tuesday being the ‘Mega Vaccination Days’ the administration of vaccine is relatively higher on these days. On the number Vaccination Centres across the state, Sh. Arora said that today there were 1,449 Vaccination Centres across the state, which were evenly spread. Most of the beneficiaries were above 60 years of age or between 45 years to 60 years, he added.
- On the administration of vaccines to Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) Sh. Arora said that 1.9 lakh Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and around 1,14,656 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose. Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs) he said that 1,20,378 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine and 43,494 FLWs have been administered the second dose. The first dose of vaccine administered to beneficiaries above 60 years is 50,094 doses and second dose has been administered to 2,895 beneficiaries.
- Meanwhile, those within the age group of 45 to 60 years the first dose of the vaccine has been given to 87,634 beneficiaries and the second dose has been administered to 1,016 beneficiaries.
