Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij has today started “Swachhta Pakhwada” (Cleanliness Drive) in the Civil Hospitals, Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres as well as sub-centres of the state from June 15 to June 30.

  • Chandigarh, June 15- Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij has today started “Swachhta Pakhwada” (Cleanliness Drive) in the Civil Hospitals, Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres as well as sub-centres of the state from June 15 to June 30.
  • On this occasion, Sh. Vij digitally interacted with all the Civil Surgeons of the state and gave necessary guidelines.
  • Sh. Vij said that today we have started “Swachhta Pakhwada” but hygiene and cleanliness should be a way of life. He said that we are coming out of the second wave of this dangerous infectious disease corona, so we have to clean all the PHCs, CHCs and hospitals and during this time we will have to improve the look of our institutions.
  • Sh. Vij saluted the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff as corona warriors and said that in the most difficult times of this century, these corona warriors worked day and night as a team despite facing a lot of difficulties. He said that during these difficult times no untoward incident took place in any Civil Hospital in Haryana and these warriors contributed immensely in handling the situation. He said that though people panic when infected with the highly contagious COVID-19, the corona warriors have acted courageously and have healed and treated people thereby sending them back to their homes post recovery.
  • The Health Minister said that during the Corona period, there was an improvement in the stature of Civil Hospitals and people preferred taking treatment from Civil Hospitals.
  • Earlier, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora said that during “Swachhta Pakhwada” all health buildings should be thoroughly cleaned so that patients feel better. Apart from this, a healthy competitive environment with regard to cleanliness should also be created so that cleanliness is maintained in hospitals, PHCs and CHCs. Besides this, he assured the Health Minister that the instructions given by him would be adhered to in letter and spirit.
  • During this, Director General of Health Services Department, Dr. Veena Singh also made a presentation on cleanliness. On this occasion, Managing Director of Haryana Medical Services Corporation, Sh. Saket Kumar, Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration, Sh. Rajiv Rattan and other senior officers were present.
