Chandigarh, March 28- Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that India is fast moving in the field of industry and investment. Similarly, Haryana is also one of the most progressive states of India and the State is considered an Industrial Powerhouse of India with more than 250 Fortune companies having their base in Haryana.
Sh. Vij addressed business leaders, business tycoons, top investors and partners from across the globe at the “Global Investors Growth Summit” held under the guidance of Sheikh Majid Rashid Al Mualla, Majestic Investments, Champions Group, a member of the UAE Royal Family, in Dubai today. During this visit he interacted with various business leaders and also invited them to set up their units in Haryana.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Vij thanked member of the royal family, Sheikh Majid Rashid Al Mualla, for inviting him to the summit. Along with this, he also thanked the business leaders, financiers, planners, thinkers from all over the world present there. He said that this summit is a great platform to connect with top investors and business partners.
Sh. Vij said that India is fast moving in the field of industry and investment sector and under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi the work is being done to promote industrialization in India by flagship programmes like Digital India, Startup India, Make in India and Skills India.
To provide a stable and sustainable environment for growth of foreign trade in merchandise and services and creation of employment, a foreign trade policy has been implemented. The Government of India is working with the slogan of “Sabka Saath- Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas-Sabka Prayas”.
He said that growing India-UAE economic and commercial relations contribute to the stability and strength of a rapidly diversifying and deepening bilateral relationship between the two countries. India-UAE trade is valued at around USD 60 billion and it is the 10th biggest FDI investor for India, he added.
Sh Vij said that Haryana is one of the most progressive states of India and State is considered an Industrial Powerhouse of India with more than 250 Fortune companies based in Haryana. Haryana contributed near 3.94% to India’s GDP and state’s Per Capita Income is INR 2,39,535 which is double of national figure. Haryana has been ranked as the second-best state in the country in terms of ease of doing business (LEADS Survey 2021) and first amongst landlocked states in export preparedness (Export Preparedness Index 2021), he said.
He said that Haryana is a leading manufacturer of cranes, excavators, cars, two-wheelers, footwear, scientific instruments etc.
Haryana’s strategic location is inherent advantage and nearly 60% of the state falls under the National Capital Region and it has strong connectivity. Haryana State has 5 domestic airports namely Hisar, Bhiwani, Karnal, Narnaul and Pinjore and it has proximity to 2 international airports- Chandigarh and New Delhi.
Home Minister said that Haryana has developed 37 state-of-the-art Industrial Model Townships (IMT) and Industrial Estates (IE) across the state. Likewise, the 2 Kilometre stretch on both sides of KMP expressway shall be declared as an investment zone.
The state has established an Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) on 108 acre of land for export-oriented units and address trade related issues. The Haryana Government has recently launched “Haryana Enterprises & Employment Policy-2020” (HEEP).
He said that Sheikh Majid Rashid Al Mualla’s company has set up its new office in Chandigarh city, because many people from Chandigarh work in the company.
On this occasion, he also invited industry leaders and entrepreneurs to come to Haryana to set up units. He was also honoured with a memento during the summit.
