Haryana Medical Education and Research Minister, Sh. Anil Vij has directed to increase the number of beds in all Government Medical Colleges of the State from 20 to 75 for the treatment of patients with black fungus.
- Chandigarh, May 27- Haryana Medical Education and Research Minister, Sh. Anil Vij has directed to increase the number of beds in all Government Medical Colleges of the State from 20 to 75 for the treatment of patients with black fungus.
- Sh. Anil Vij while reviewing the Covid and black fungus situation in the meeting of the department today said that at present, 522 patients are undergoing treatment in various medical colleges of the State. He said that medicines should be made available to these patients as per their requirement without any delay and that there should be no shortage of injections and other medicines required for the treatment of this disease.
- The Health Minister said that for the operation and management of the PSA Oxygen Plant which is being installed at 8 places in the State additional staff and officers should be put on duty for regular monitoring. He said that the cases of Covid are decreasing, but there should not be any laxity in the coming days.
- On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, Sh. Alok Nigam, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajiv Arora, MD, Haryana Medical Service Corporation, Dr. Saket Kumar, Director Medical Education and Research Department Dr. Shaleen, Director General of Health Dr. Veena Singh and many officials were present.
