- Chandigarh, February 14 – Haryana Minister of State for Archaeology and Museums, Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that Sant Kabir Das did not belong to any particular community or society but to everyone and he always spoke for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society. He showed the way to live a true life.
- Mr. Anoop Dhanak was speaking on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of Sant Kabir Das Gate at Sant Kabir Hostel located on Rajgarh Road in District Hisar. He said that the construction work of the main gate is estimated to cost Rs. 25 lakh. He said that Kabir Panth follows path of secularism and the Constitution is also committed towards it. Sant Kabir cannot be linked to any creed, caste, language, etc., and his teachings are about harmony, simplicity and justice.
- Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that Sant Kabir was also a social reformer and he created awareness among the people about the elimination of caste discrimination and evil practices of that time. Teachings of Sant Kabir are still relevant today and will remain so in future.
