Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. Om Prakash Yadav said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has increased the Old Age Samman Allowance by Rs 250 in the Budget despite the Corona crisis.
- Chandigarh, March 14– Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. Om Prakash Yadav said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has increased the Old Age Samman Allowance by Rs 250 in the Budget despite the Corona crisis.
- He said that from April 1, a monthly pension of Rs 2,500 will be given to the elderly. The pension is being disbursed through PFMS to the accounts of 28.17 lakh beneficiaries under various pension schemes in the state.
- Minister of State said that in the Budget the government has planned to set up an integrated Sainik Sadan in seven districts for the welfare of ex-servicemen. These will include the District Sainik Board Office, Sainik Rest House, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Care Clinic, and Common Hall along with canteen, lift and ramp.
- Sh. Yadav said that the State Government is committed to the welfare of soldiers, ex-servicemen and personnel of Central Armed Police Forces as well as their families. It is a matter of pride for the state that every tenth soldier in the defence services is from the state of Haryana.
