Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency has been awarded the SEEM Best Performance Awards 2020 for SDA category by the Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM)
- Chandigarh, September 10: Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency has been awarded the SEEM Best Performance Awards 2020 for SDA category by the Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM) India, for best efforts towards improving energy efficiency, thereby supporting India’s journey towards climate change and sustainable development. Along with HAREDA, Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) and Energy Management Centre, Kerala were also awarded under the category.
- On receiving the Award, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Director General HAREDA said that State Government is also committed for the promotion of renewable energy and energy conservation in the State and we shall recognize our responsibility to contribute to the global effort of decarbonizing footprint.
- Energy Conservation programme is being run in the State with a multipronged strategy of policies, regulations and incentives, he added.
- The Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM) India is the National professional body of Certified Energy Managers, Auditors and energy professionals in the Country launched in 2005 and registered under the Charitable Societies Act 1955.
- The Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM), works to help industries achieve the important goal of realizing energy efficiency, choosing the right service that gives the best possible outcome from energy audits, and engaging in meaningful discussions to achieve industrial energy efficiency targets.
- From the 180 nominations, SNEMA Award jury has identified the best performing industries, facilities, Institutions and individuals in various categories. Due to COVID 19, SNEMA 2020 Award ceremony was held through Virtual event and Physical awards were received by HAREDA thereafter.
