Haryana State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) has caught woman Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Suman posted at Women Police Station, Faridabad red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.
- Chandigarh, March 15: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) has caught woman Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Suman posted at Women Police Station, Faridabad red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.
- Sharing more details in this regard, a spokesperson of the Bureau said that Sh. Rakesh Kumar resident of Gopalgarh, District Palwal had made a complaint at State Vigilance Bureau, Faridabad that a criminal case under section 376, 506 IPC was registered against his nephew.
- The said Assistant Sub Inspector had demanded Rs 1,80,000 in lieu of cancellation of the said FIR. He had already paid Rs 1,70,000 to her and remaining Rs 10,000 was to be paid today.
- After receiving the information, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered in Police Station, SVB, Faridabad and a team headed by Sh. Kailash, DSP, SVB, Faridabad was constituted. Tehsildar of Badkhal Smt. Neha Saharn was appointed as Duty Magistrate.
- The team of SVB apprehended the said Assistant Sub Inspector red handed in the presence of Duty Magistrate and shadow witness. The accused is being interrogated thoroughly. The investigation of the case is in progress.
