In a major seizure, Haryana Police has recovered 205 kg of doda post from an abandoned vehicle from Mahendergarh district.

  • Chandigarh, July 24– In a major seizure, Haryana Police has recovered 205 kg of doda post from an abandoned vehicle from Mahendergarh district.
  • Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that a police team during patrolling had got a tip off that a vehicle parked in the abandoned condition on a flyover Rivasa in the district following police immediately rushed to the spot and impounded the vehicle.  Search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 13 plastic bags weighing 205 kg of doda post.
  • Prima facie, it seems that fearing arrest, the persons involved in drug peddling left the vehicle loaded with contraband and fled. A case has been registered with the city police station, and further probe is underway.
  • Meanwhile, in a separate case, the police arrested a man and recovered 34 kg ganja patti from his possession in Panipat district.  The accused has been identified as Joni, a resident of Nawanshahr in Punjab.  Primary probe reveals that accused brought the drug from Uttarakhand for supply in Panipat area.
