  • Chandigarh, March 1: In compliance of the orders of the State Government, Haryana Police today launched another two-week special campaign to educate the public about the wearing of face masks by citizens across the state, and also to enforce it strictly.
  • Disclosing this here today, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Sh. Navdeep Singh Virk said that in view of the recent spurt in COVID-19 cases, and the casual attitude seen amongst people these days, the police have started another two-week campaign to make people aware of the risk of infection. The campaign started from March 1 and will continue up to March 16, 2021.
  • He said that special focus would be kept out on high risk public places with large footfall like markets, bus stands, taxi stands, and parks etc where the norms are likely to be flouted. • As a part of the campaign, senior police officers will visit the public places to motivate and educate people about the use of face masks.
  • All the Commissioners of Police and district Superintendents of Police in the state have been directed to carry out intensive campaign in this direction to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
