Saras and Shilp Mela concludes

Chandigarh, December 19 – International Gita Mahotsav-2021 organized in Kurukshetra has made a mark not only at the national level but also at the international level. On the last day of the Saras and Shilp Mela of this festival, the craftsmen and artists promised to return in 2022 next year. The festival concluded with a successful event amidst complete security and order. The important aspect is that in the coming year, the International Gita Mahotsav-2022 will have a Deepdaan programme on December 4, 2022.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that to make International Gita Mahotsav-2021 a memorable and successful one, full cooperation of the officers, employees, media personnel and common citizens of the city was received.

He said that the glimpses of this festival have been seen by people sitting in every nook and corner of the world through social sites. The International Gita Mahotsav, which ran from December 2 to December 19, was duly concluded on the banks of Brahmasarovar in Kurukshetra. The craftsmen who came to the festival left, promising to meet again next year. Cultural artists and craftsmen from all corners of the country and the state participated in this festival. The people here encouraged the artists by admiring the colorful cultural presentations. He said that despite the cold weather, tourists and devotees visited this festival every day. Lakhs of tourists and devotees have attended the festival during this function.

More than 3700 artists from 21 states and different countries displayed their craftsmanship

In the International Gita Mahotsav-2021, more than 3700 artists from 21 states and other countries including America, Bhutan, Russia, Africa presented daily cultural programmes on the main stage of Haryana Pavilion and ghats of Brahmasarovar from December 2 to December 19 and entertained the tourists. Apart from this, they also performed in cultural programmes at district level and at 75 pilgrimages of 48 Kos. Famous artists like Chitra-Vichitra, Padmashree Malini Awasthi, Ranju Agarwal, Baba Maurya, Gajendra Phogat, Mahavir Guddu etc. presented their programmes during the evening cultural programmes in the main pandal.
