National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula to become the center of medicinal knowledge for the botanical world
Chandigarh, February 10: National Institute of Ayurveda being established in Panchkula by the Ministry of AYUSH for the conservation of medicinal plants is going to play an important role not only in the conservation of medicinal plants but also in connecting the public with the protection of nature. A large number of people will be benefited after getting naturopathy in this institute. In this context, the National Board of Wildlife has given permission for its introduction.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has envisaged that every citizen of the state should play his role in the conservation and promotion of medicinal plants and work to connect the society with a sense of responsibility for the environment.
Forest and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the National Institute of Ayurveda will be built in an area of 8.04 hectares in Sector-5D Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board premises in Panchkula at a cost of Rs 5 crore, which will be utilized in a phased manner. With the construction of this Institute, the community will be able to become a co-traveler of nature protection.
The Minister said that by presenting the research work and academic achievements of this Institute in the form of study material through Prakriti Gyan Kendra established in schools, this Institution will become a medium to introduce the new generation to Indian Ayurveda tradition. He said that the manner in which the Indian medicine system has done the work of saving the life of the common man in the Pandemic has clearly proved that the Indian Ayurvedic system is not only important but is also essential in modern times.
