No shortage of fertilizer in the state: Haryana Agriculture Minister

Six more rakes of DAP fertilizer will be made available in the state: Sh. J.P Dalal

Chandigarh, October 27- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal said that there will be no shortage of fertilizers in the state. The state will soon get six more rakes of DAP fertilizer from the central government.

While interacting with the media persons here at Chandigarh, Sh. J. P Dalal said that the farmers should be prepared for sowing the next crop.

He said that farmers will get fertilizers on time. He said that the state government has provided farmers welfare schemes and grain markets with well-maintained infrastructure to the farmers. State government is procuring crops at Minimum Support Price, he added.

He urged the farmers to use organic DAP fertilizer and said that the farmers will get fair prices of crops and vegetables sown using organic DAP fertilizer.

He said that with the cooperation of Central Government, a huge quantity of organic manure prepared from cow dung would be made available in the state which will also generate good income sources for the Gaushalas as well.

The Agriculture Minister said that during the next Rabi crop 2021-22, about 11 lakh Metric ton (MT) of urea is required in the state. He said that about 2.60 lakh Metric tonne of urea is already available with the state government, out of which more than 90,000 MT till date is made available to the farmers. He said that about 66,345 MT of Urea was provided to the farmers during October 1 to 27, 2020 last year.

Sh. Dalal said that about 3 lakh MT of DAP fertilizer is required during the next Rabi crop 2021-22 in the state. Till date, about 1.38 lakh MT of DAP manure is available with the state government, out of which 1.10 lakh MT of DAP fertilizer has been given to the farmers. He said that about 1,03,072 MT of DAP fertilizer was provided to the farmers during October 1 to 27, 2020 last year.

The Agriculture Minister said that about 1 lakh MT of SSP fertilizer is required for the Rabi crops 2021-22. Till date, about 75,886 MT of SSP fertilizer is available with the state government, out of which 39,975 MT of SSP fertilizer is made available to the farmers of the state. He said that about 13,380 MT of SSP fertilizer was provided to the farmers during October 1 to 27, 2020 last year.

He said that about 0.50 lakh MT of NPK fertilizer is required during the next Rabi crop 2021-22 in the state. Till date, about 20,937 MT of NPK fertilizer is available with the state government, out of which 14,202 MT NPK fertilizer is provided to the farmers. He said that about 2,648 MT of NPK fertilizer was provided to the farmers during October 1 to 27, 2020 last year.

The Agriculture Minister said that so far about 44.40 lakh MT paddy has arrived in the grain markets of the state, out of which 43.61 lakh MT paddy has been successfully procured. He said that 36.85 lakh MT paddy has been lifted from the grain markets across the state and an amount of Rs 6,200 crore has been transferred to the accounts of the farmers. He said that till October 25, 2021, about 4.68 lakh MT of Basmati paddy has been arriving in the grain markets, out of which 4.56 lakh MT of paddy has been procured in the state.
