Chandigarh, February 6- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the players of Haryana are now bringing laurels to the country and the state in cricket through tremendous performance in the Under-19 ICC World Cup 2022. Haryana has been recognized as a sports hub at the international level because of our players who have made their indelible mark in national and international sports events. The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal congratulated the entire team on India’s spectacular victory in the Under-19 ICC World Cup 2022 between India and England. It is noteworthy that India won the Under-19 World Cup title by defeating England in the final match. In this team there are three players from Haryana, Nishant Sindhu of Rohtak, Dinesh Bana of Hisar and Garv Sangwan of Bhiwani. Rohtak’s Nishant played a brilliant role in securing victory for the Indian team by scoring a half-century without losing wicket.
The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working towards encouraging the sportspersons. Haryana is the only state in the whole country that gives the highest prize money to their sportspersons on winning medals and also supports them throughout their training. Now the other states are looking forward towards Haryana and delegation from other states are coming for understanding our sports policy and initiative.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is also making constant efforts to promote sports at the national level. Sports universities have also been established in different parts and we are hopeful that our strenuous efforts will definitely create golden history in the upcoming national and international sports events.
