Our Haryanvi culture is our identity – Manohar Lal

Chief Minister interacted directly with the workers of BJP Culture Cell

Chandigarh, October 19 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that our Haryanvi culture is our identity.  The state government is working continuously to preserve its Haryanvi culture and traditions that have been carried down through the generations.  During the meeting of the BJP Culture Cell at his residence here today, the Chief Minister called upon the workers to contribute in the schemes of the government.
Interacting directly with the workers associated with the culture cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Chief Minister said that the culture of Haryana is very rich.  The state government is constantly making efforts to promote Haryanvi culture and our historical heritage.  Events are being organized continuously to make the younger generation aware of the traditions.  In this episode, every year the International Geeta Mahotsav is celebrated not only in Kurukshetra but it is organized at the state level as well.  He said that Sarasvati Heritage Development Board has been constituted for the restoration of the pilgrimage sites situated on the banks of holy river Saraswati.
Kurukshetra being developed a great tourist place
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is developing the historic city of Kurukshetra as a great tourist destination.  To make Kurukshetra a hub of tourism, a plan has been made to set up a digital museum at Jyotisar.  This museum will be dedicated to the epic of Mahabharata.  In this museum, the great saga of Mahabharata will be depicted through a divine tableau.
Government created Foreign Cooperation Department for the people of Haryana
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government has created the Department of Foreign Cooperation to build recognition for the state at the international level and to connect the people of Haryana settled abroad with their soil.  For this, the government has also launched a website.  The main objective of this department is to keep the Haryanvi diaspora abroad connected with their culture.
